Cortex is a grey anodized Neo60 Core from Qwertykeys with the aluminum plate installed. This keeb has no foams installed and I am using the stock dumbbell gasket mount which gives the PCB assembly a lot of bounce in this configuration. The stabilizers for this build are SK Knight V3s that have been lubed with Krytox 205g0 and tuned with dielectric grease. To top off this build I used GMK’s “WOB” double shot ABS keycaps For the switches I used Keygeek’s Butterfly linears. The Butterflies utilize a PA66 top housing, a PA12 bottom housing with a spherical stem contact point and a U5 UPE stem that also has a spherical tip. Together the spherical contact points create a very deep sound profile that still has some clack. I went with the 50g bottom out spring weight and these have around 3.6mm of travel with their long pole stem. I love these butterflies, they are super smooth with really clean collision sounds from the top and bottom housings. As for the sound profile they are incredibly deep compared to most of the switches in my collection but they aren’t as muted as some like Akko bittersweets or stock oil kings. They balance their deepness with some clack and as a result I think they sound fuller and punchier than some of those other options. Unfortunately there is some noticeable ticking with these butterflies especially as I have used them more and more.
