[03:18] Believing that you are Gods chosen people leads to not having a sense of accountability [03:55] The Original Sin in Christianity leads to no sense of accountability. [04:49] Purposeless likewise leads to no sense of accountability [05:33] The strong sense of responsibility in Islam and the belief in the Day of Judgment [06:26] Every action a person does (good and bad) will be weighed on a scale on the Day of Judgment. [07:04] The taqwa (God consciousness) of the Muslim before doing any action [07:41] The Muslim lives between fear, hope and love of Allah (the Almighty) [08:27] The strong resolve and self determination of every Muslim that is essential for progress. [09:14] What gives a Muslim an optimistic outlook in life? [09:46] A quote from Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab (may God be pleased with him) about self accountability. [10:26] An explanation and definition of Taqwa - (God Consciousness) in Islam. [10:43] Allah (the Almighty) is the Most Forgiving and Most Merciful, yet is also severe in punishment [11:40] How seeking the pleasure of Allah alone leads to humility. [12:10] There is no get out of jail free card in Islam. You have to answer for everything you do. [12:41] Allah has the ability and power to judge us. [13:00] Five brief points that explain why we are responsible for all the actions we do. [13:32] 1) The Muslim has been given knowledge, reflection and other sensory perceptions to provide the basis of self accountability. [14:48] These sensory perceptions can observe the signs in the creation that point to a Creator [16:35] Mankind has never strayed from believing in the Creator until recently because of modern philosophies. [16:57] The fitrah (the natural disposition that Allah created human beings upon) includes universal morals and values that explain what is right and wrong based on the correct belief that leads to righteous actions. [17:41] The early childhood years are so important in terms of teaching children religion and the proper belief. [19:04] 2) Human beings were given free will (or desire) and the ability to act on that will, based on rational or irrational decisions, and this justifies self accountability. [20:50] Allah sent Revelation in order to nurture the knowledge, will and desire that He gave us. [21:42] The beneficial knowledge in the Revelation leads to the outward perfection of righteous actions. [22:01] The Revelation was sent to perfect the fitrah - the natural disposition that we were created upon. [22:49] Perfect manners and character start with our manners towards Allah and then to everyone else. [23:17] 4) Allah (the Almighty) established the proof upon mankind through the revealed books so that mankind would have no argument before Allah. [26:14] 5) The previous 4 points lead to the fact that Allah's justice has been established, [26:52] Allah, in His justice, created human beings inclined to worshiping and being grateful to Him. [27:57] Out of Allah's justice, He does not punish anyone until a messenger has been sent to them. [28:06] Allah gives additional favors by proving guidance and additional support to those who sincerely desire it. [30:46] No one can bear the burden of sin of another person on the Day of Judgment.
