Whenever we step out of our comfort zones and undergo transitions like moving abroad, our old wounds and traumas have a field day. They often resurface as we experience our new reality through the lens of our old life. This means that if we are insecurely attached, and as such carry insecure relational patterns, these might hinder us from creating a meaningful and safe expat experience with sustainable relationships. In this interview with Nyna Caputi, Founder of The Expat Woman, will chat with Henriette Johnsen, Bilingual Counsellor, Couples Therapist & Psychotherapist MPF and Expat specialist and also a member of The Expat Woman Membership, about what are attachment styles, the different types, how they can impact expats and tips to overcome them. Henriett's Bio Specialising in the challenges of life abroad, I'm an experienced bilingual counsellor, couples therapist and psychotherapist offering empathic, holistic, bespoke counselling and therapy in English as well as in Danish, either online or from my practice in Odense, Denmark. Combining my thirst for new psychological knowledge and curiosity of how people perceive the world, I'm keen to help my clients develop greater awareness of how they can live a more satisfactory life with meaningful relationships. I have vast experience in helping clients make better choices for themselves when faced with difficult life circumstances whilst living abroad. 🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up?
