Crossing to Haiti | The Journey Begins from Santiago to Okap

The big day finally came — leaving Santiago, crossing the border, and stepping into the next chapter in Haiti. In this video, I take you through the journey from Santiago to Ocap, Haiti. From the Uber and bus ticket costs, to the Dajabón station, to choosing a moto ride across the border (and realizing maybe I should’ve stayed on the bus!). I reflect on how good the Dominican Republic has been to me — giving me a united family — and share what I saw and felt on the way to Haiti. When I arrived at the Airbnb, I couldn’t help but admire the land. I imagined my kids running free, the dogs and cats playing, and the blessing of having space to call your own.
