北海道羽幌町にある北海道海鳥センターです。 北海道海鳥センターは、北海道羽幌町に位置する日本唯一の海鳥専門施設で、環境省と羽幌町が共同で運営しています。​ 1997年に開設され、主にウミガラス（別名：オロロン鳥）やエトピリカなどの海鳥の保護増殖活動、調査研究、普及啓発活動を行っています。 天売島を訪れる前に立ち寄ることで、島の自然や海鳥についての理解を深めることができます。 ​また、希望者にはスタッフによる展示解説も実施されています。 The Hokkaido Seabird Center, located in Haboro Town, Hokkaido. Japan’s only facility dedicated specifically to seabirds. It is jointly operated by the Ministry of the Environment and the town of Haboro. Established in 1997, the center focuses on the conservation and propagation of seabirds such as the Common Murre (locally known as “Ororon-chō”) and the Tufted Puffin. It also engages in research, surveys, and educational outreach related to seabird ecology. Visiting the center before heading to Teuri Island offers a deeper understanding of the island’s natural environment and its seabird populations. Guided tours of the exhibits by staff members are available upon request.
