Medicare A B C and D's Channel - Presenting important Medicare information, explained in a quick and easy to understand way. Like, Subscribe and turn on notifications for future updates. This Video Covers the four basic parts of Medicare: Medicare can seem complicated, but with some explanation, Medicare can be easily understood! Let’s start with the Basics! Medicare is broken down into 4 Basic Parts; Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D. Medicare Part A Simply stated Covers Hospital Stays Part A is Medicare’s portion of Hospital Insurance – Part A helps cover Inpatient care in hospitals, skilled nursing facility care, and hospice care. (Most Medicare Recipients are Automatically Enrolled in Part A when they become eligible) Medicare Part B Simply stated Covers Doctor Visits Part B is Medicare’s portion of Medical Insurance that helps cover Services from doctors, outpatient care, Durable medical equipment (like diabetic supplies, mobility devices, hospital beds, and other equipment and supplies) (Medicare Recipients must choose to enroll in Part B, and there is a premium for most recipients) Medicare Part C is a private health insurance alternative to Medicare parts A and B Part C is an alternative way to get your Medicare coverage via Medicare Advantage Plans. Part C plans are offered by Medicare-approved private companies that follow rules set by Medicare. Medicare recipients that choose to join a Medicare Advantage plan receive their Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance) coverage from the Medicare Advantage plan, not Original Medicare. Medicare Part D Simply stated covers your prescription drugs Part D is Medicare’s portion of Prescription Drug Coverage. Medicare Part D is an optional benefit HOWEVER everyone should consider joining a Part D plan because there are penalties for Medicare recipients who choose not to enroll in Part D and do not have credible coverage if they choose to enroll later. To get a Medicare Part D plan, recipients must join a plan approved by Medicare. And that’s the basic parts of Medicare! Resources: **www.Medicare.gov **https://www.medicare.gov/medicare-and...
