Gunn’s win derailed Vince McMahon & Jim Ross’s plans to elevate Williams into a top feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Instead of being rewarded, Bart found himself off-tv without any plans to bring him back. Behind the scenes, it was no secret that Jim Ross was furious at Gunn.
