Canoe plans: Selway Fischer Wren and its 16ft This video was originally made for entertainment purposes and not a build along with all of the specifics included. If you're thinking of building a canoe DO IT, its worth the time and effort and they really are things of beauty. The plans for this canoe came from Selway Fisher which i found to be extremely thorough but not always clear. I kind of followed the plans and made it up at the same time so its actually more of a 'based on' kind of design. When I was sourcing the marine ply, i had timber merchants laughing at me thinking you could make a canoe from it. They told me that it couldnt be done and treat me like a naive child. Well they were wrong.
