In this video we're going to talk about what is probably the most ubiquitous type of air brake used on the rails (in North America), 26-L. 26-L air brakes came around in the late 1950s and have since become the basis for the more modern ECP brakes. We'll go over some of the intricacies of 26-L at a more basic level and see the major parts in context and even learn how to do an air test.
