For the first year we have lived in our home, we placed things within our kitchen cabinets and drawers where we thought made sense. Now, we are ready to get this kitchen fully functional! With a large family of seven, our kitchen needs to work hard for our family. In this video, we make various organization changes in our kitchen - including the creation a pseudo pantry space, simplifying our spice storage, and adding a pull out garbage and recycling center. Deep cleaning the kitchen is one of those chores that isn't an easy task. I took advantage of the fact that the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen would be emptied to wash out crumbs and stains. It feels great to have the room fresh and reset. Soon, we will begin phase two of the kitchen project - adding open shelving and subway tile, as well as a decorative sink 'skirting' for our large farmhouse apron sink. Stay tuned!
