In today’s edition of Breaking News we look at two Headlines, while they are seemingly unrelated, they actually explain the situation the world finds itself in and where we have to go to find the answers.. Headline 1 Sales of Bibles Are Booming, Fueled by First-Time Buyers and New Versions (Wall Street Journal) Headline 2 The Gentle Art of Negotiating with Terrorists (Gatestone). This story basically explains why it is fruitless to attempt to negotiate with terrorists… However, like the stories we did on November 30, we have the issue made clear, but there is no explanation as to why it is happening… Indeed, when we looked at the miracle of 77 years since the UN proclamation of two states in the Holy Land, a Jewish state and an Arab state, we explained biblically WHY this has happened… in other words, we must have it put into a context…only the Bible does this… In the same way, why is there a continual search for peace for Israel in our world … we only know the answer the answer from what they Bible tells us… Headline 1 Sales of Bibles Are Booming, Fueled by First-Time Buyers and New Versions (Wall Street Journal) Publishers attribute a 22% jump in Bible sales this year to rising anxiety, a search for hope, or highly focused marketing and designs This story warms our heart. The Bible should be read and studied by every Bible-believing Christian. There is so much there for us to ponder as we all go through this journey called “life.” The message of Scripture is clear to those who wish to know it. It is understandable and life-changing. This is one of the many reasons we have put our website together educatingourworld…we have covered so many important biblical subjects so that you can know what you believe as Christians, why you should believe it, and then how to live it in a Christ-rejecting world. This is why we have arranged our website in such a way that it can be used for study group, Sunday school, self-study, home school and biblically based sermons… again, please take advantage of these free resources… ... there is an eternal conflict that has been going on that will only be solved by the return of Christ and the setting up of His kingdom. Until then, as we emphasize in our book 25 Signs We Are Near The End, Israel will be on a continual search for peace (Sign 7). Unless we understand this truth, we will never fully comprehend what is going on in our world…. Headline 2 The Gentle Art of Negotiating with Terrorists (Gatestone) Offering to negotiate with Islamic terrorists is a statement of weakness. Jihadists only offer to negotiate out of fear, weakness or to entrap us, and they assume we do the same thing. Nothing would ever convince them that we genuinely want to live in peace with them, or that we prefer alternatives to violence. So any time we offer to negotiate, they see it as weakness or a trick. Again, we emphasize, that we only know why these things are occurring is because of the spiritual battle that is behind all of this, namely, the cosmic conflict between God and the forces of evil. The Answer… What’s the answer? It’s very simple, to preach the good news of Jesus Christ and teach the message of the entire Bible to this lost world. There is really no hope without doing this. From our Breaking News of November 30, we emphasized that we can understand the times in which we are living… We illustrated this with an example from one of our books… God Wants Us To Know The Future: An Introduction to Bible Prophecy… specifically, Question 22 Living In The Light Of The Last Days: What Are The Lessons We Should Learn? We listed the first lesson… namely, We Can Understand The Times In Which We Are Living! This first lesson is primary! The Bible itself emphasizes that we can know, and we can understand the times in which we are living. Therefore, we should take the time to understand precisely where we are in God’s prophetic timetable. We read about this promise in the Book of Daniel: We Should Be Thankful and Humbled By The Privilege Of Living In These Times This brings us to another lesson—we should truly appreciate the fact that we are living at the time of the end of this present age! In fact, we can learn an important lesson from Jesus about this.
