Fujifilm XT4 Eterna | Film Convert Short Scenes Comparison | Refinery | 23mm f/2

This is the second of my colour grading short scenes using the wonderful plugin, Film Convert. I shot this entire sequence at a nearby refinery which is a similar location to what was the inspiration for Ridley Scott and the legendary Blade Runner. The first version that you will see is the final edit. The second version is straight out of camera Eterna film simulation with nothing added except sound. The final version is a split screen comparison of the first two versions to give you a better understanding of the process. All the shots were filmed with the Fujifilm XT4 in 4K 24fps, All Intra, at 4000mbs with the 23mm f/2 prime lens and the Eterna film simulation straight out of camera (No F-log this time) I think I may need to tweak my Eterna settings but I am really delighted with what the camera can achieve without any post. Equally I am so happy with Film Convert and the aesthetic it helps me achieve so effortlessly. Every shot was on top of a static tripod except for the final shot, which was filmed using a gimbal. I used a couple of small Aputure LED lights for the final two shots to highlight the subject in the shadows. Otherwise I just used practical street lighting. After I created the sequence, and added all the recorded ambient sounds and FX, I imported the finished sequence into Logic Pro X and created the score with a couple of different synthesisers. The inspiration for the score was of course, Vangelis & Hans Zimmer. Sequence edit is as follows: Eterna profile straight out of camera, and then the scene was graded with the Film Convert KD 5207 Vis3 film stock. Beautiful.
