Getting Ready to Teach International GCSE Biology Modular

Please note this is a recording of a live event. This online training is designed for teachers teaching or who are looking to teach the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Modular Biology Specification. The focus of this training will be on planning and teaching the course, understanding the assessment and preparing students, will give you an understanding of how the content is assessed by reviewing the assessment objectives and mark schemes, practise applying the mark schemes using exemplar student work, as well as an overview of the support available. By the end of the session, delegates will, •Identify how the qualification is devised and fundamental documentation •Review the content of the qualification •Explore how to plan the course and/or lessons •Understand the assessment of the qualification and how to prepare students •Understand the Assessment Objectives for the qualification •Understand the question types for the qualification •Understand the mark schemes for the qualification •Practise using the mark schemes using exemplar student work •Learn about the support provided by Pearson around assessment and exemplars.
