I was looking at Elliot Carter's 3rd& 4th String Quartet & in no.4 while there's all tis crowded,rapidfiguration of noise quietly the cello at pp is in another world is only playing a trill . Carter has written sneaky in this one little passage . I saw the word and said Oh I must write some music called sneaky and the idea of solo violin music hit me with outlandish harmonies . And then out of nowhere Bach's repetition of serial motifs like the famous Emajor Partita started a Rainstorm in me brain! I'm going to return to this idea too . Kapustin's chaotic 2nd sonata finale hassome passages that would make a fine concertino piano,trombone,pizzicato violins and baritone saxophone,xylophone and farting staccato tuba interlocutions! We'll see what I come up with !
