Welcome to the 2025.2026 School Year. Remember that “Unity Starts With You”. You may turn on the closed captioning of this video by clicking the right corner “cc” to translate to any language other than English. We’re excited to share some important updates about how our school is continuing to grow and improve to better serve every student. This year, we are deepening our commitment to standards-based teaching and aligning our practices with the Marzano High Reliability Schools (HRS) framework. 🎯 What is Standards-Based Teaching? Standards-based teaching ensures that every student is learning the essential skills and knowledge defined by academic standards. Instead of focusing solely on grades, we emphasize mastery of content, giving students multiple opportunities to learn, practice, and demonstrate their understanding. This approach helps us personalize learning and provide clear feedback on progress. 🏫 What is the High Reliability Schools Framework? Developed by Dr. Robert Marzano, the HRS framework is a research-based model that guides schools through five progressive levels of performance: Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture Effective Teaching in Every Classroom Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum Standards-Referenced Reporting Competency-Based Education Each level builds on the previous one, helping us create a learning environment where every student succeeds. It’s not about chasing trends—it’s about building a strong foundation and continuously improving. 🤝 Why This Matters to You By combining standards-based teaching with the HRS framework, we’re ensuring that your child receives a high-quality education in a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment. You’ll see clearer communication about what your child is learning, how they’re progressing, and how we’re supporting their growth. We’re proud to partner with you on this journey. If you have questions or would like to learn more, we welcome your feedback and look forward to future conversations. No schedule requests can be honored. We can change schedules due to emergency issues such as missing a core class, missing an elective, duplicate course, wrong grade level course, passed a class on their schedule, or any schedule concern related to the vitality of promotion. Please remember we are a uniform school(red or black collar shirts)/(black or khaki bottoms not exceeding finger tips). Students may arrive to campus no later than 9:15 am. Mondays are early release days to allow for one hour of teacher planning time so school commences at 3:35 pm. All other days, school commences at 4:35 pm. All students will be provided a free breakfast each day. Go Bulldogs! ~Mrs. Mitchell
