Panattoni TV: how does DPD's ultra-modern sorter work?

In Zgierz in Central Poland, DPD handles about 10,000 packages a day. The entire hall was designed with an automatic sorter that can increase this number to 90 thousand. Such technological solutions are rare in Poland. The installation of the sorter, based on an electromagnetic rail, takes about six months, so Panattoni had to hand over the facility in advance to make sure everything goes according to plan. The sorter automates processes that were previously done manually - from analyzing labels, to sorting by courier groups, to separating parcels by size and type, greatly improving the handling of e-commerce shipments.
