Boy was this video a challenge for me with the need to make constant corrections. The most important one was that I could not find the natural color and non chill filtration information on the bottle. So as one of our best known reviewers, Ralfy says "If it is not stated on the bottle we have to assume that is chill filtered." He is not even a fan of it being only on the box which I didn't have a problem with in the past. Well in the review I looked for it all over the bottle and of course was not going to find it because it is not on the bottle. I must be slipping and going blind because in my sloppy research effort in reading the box I missed it on the box and after the review I found it in small print. So we had to do an edit of the review and update that very important information. I am never happy when I have to re-edit and correct necessary information etc. after I have finished making a video review but what is worse is when you publish that mis-information and then finding out after. I had just finished watching a controversial 'Review Extras' that Ralfy had done just prior to making the video. I think my mind was still focused on some of Ralfy's comments on chill filtration with Glendronach and the other Brown Forman distilleries. But the Cask Strength Batch 10 was not one of those whiskies now that we know it is non chill filtered and has no added color. I am not going discuss those Review Extras here but if you want to see the reviews they are the following; The Ralfy review 876 Extras where GlenDronach PR had written a letter to Ralfy regarding his comment's on their plans to do chill filtration on their whiskies; also Ralfy review 877 Extras on Glendronach's response to Ralfy's reply letter and his (unusual) rationale. The good thing about this review and the Batch 10 was that I never changed my views, thoughts and score toward this whisky after finishing the original review or after editing it and finding the correct information.
