HO Scale Trains Vs. Real Snow

It's been five years since the last time I set up an outdoor layout for running trains in the snow. This year I set up the largest loop of track I ever have, stretching over a 8" by 50" square foot area. This included over 118" feet of track all soldered together. The weather conditions took a while in order to get the right amount of snow for an HO scale snow plow. This meant the tracks were cleared several times throughout the winter making some nice mountain landscapes for the trains to run around. Finally the right day arrived to let the locomotives clear the track. I set up the snow plow plus two Canadian National Dash 9 locomotives and set them around for several loops. After I set up a basic consist of freight cars for the engines to haul around the loop.
