In Benin, ​activist Precious Oruche, also known as Mama Pee as a figure in the Obidient movement, was briefly detained after a viral confrontation with the factional National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport in Abuja. The Abure-led faction has since demanded Oruche's arrest, escalating political infighting. Meanwhile, the factional Labour Party National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, issued a statement demanding Mama Pee’s arrest and for Peter Obi to be placed on a national security watch list.
