In this video you can follow a journey that was supposed to have gone from Jörn to Stockholm, but took an unexpected turn. The journey was made on 13-14 November 2025 with SJ Nattåg 93, pulled by locomotives Rc6 1400 and Rc6 1396. It was due to cold and damp weather that ice formed on the catenary wires through Bastuträsk in Västerbotten. This made it difficult, if not impossible, for electric locomotives to use the catenary on the route. Since there are no effective methods for removing ice crust, we were forced to wait while the problem was probably fixed manually. In the middle of the night, the Swedish Transport Administration tried to let traffic go again, and the night train arrived in Jörn at 2 am. However, we never got any further south, and instead turned north to Älvsbyn while waiting for another attempt.
