After finishing the fork rebuilds, I went back out to find the bike wouldn't start. After a long journey of troubleshooting, I've discovered that the bike hasn't been wired correctly since the previous owner. This video is a bit long but it goes over that process. Jump to about the 35 minute mark if you want to get to me actually answering the problem. I think this video will be useful for anyone trying to diagnose a regulator rectifier, especially if they're doing it on a single phase system.
