Still Called West | Part 5 | Where Mountains Meet The Sky | A National Parks Odyssey

(Filmed in September 2025.) The Tetons don’t announce themselves all at once. From the north, they appear in pieces, peaks slipping through the trees before opening fully across Jackson Lake. It’s not the view most people expect, just a first glimpse, and a quiet hint at what’s ahead. The rest of the day is spent moving through the park, stopping often, learning the light, and getting a feel for the place. Viewpoints and landmarks come one after another. Lunch at Jackson Lake Lodge. Time spent scouting, thinking ahead to the next mornings before settling in for the night. Mornings come early here. Sunrise at Mormon Row brings the barns into focus. A short hike up to Inspiration Point follows, then a slower afternoon away from the camera. On the final morning, the light returns at Schwabacher Landing before the truck gets loaded and the road turns south again, passing through quieter places on the way toward Salt Lake City.
