Even though the conversion of my machine to VFD is incomplete, I am positing this video at the request of "Focus on Machining," who had posted a video,    • Видео   , indicating a stutter-start of the lathe followed by gear grinding. I commented on that video as to the cause of this and that I do not have this problem when the VFD is programmed using the A044 Constant Torque acceleration setting rather than the S-Curve acceleration setting. I also observed the "stutter-start" behavior when using the non-linear acceleration curve. Please forgive the quality of this video. This is my first U-tube video post!
