The SunSpire is an enormous, naturally formed monolith that has been occupied by the Nali and is used as a safe haven of sorts. The SunSpire is the halfway point in Unreal, perhaps the most non-linear level in all of Unreal, and also one of the darkest. Trouble awaits within the Sun Spire, a fabled Nali stronghold carved out of a giant, spire-shaped mountain, which has been overrun by fire-breathing Gasbags, Skaarj and their fiendish offspring, the undeveloped Pupae. The former Nali sanctuary has now become the foulest of terrors. As Prisoner 849 fights off the enemy hordes and ascends the mountain, trying not to look down into the lava roiling below, the future looks bleak: where can she go from here?
