Everest wasn’t reached in one big push—it was built through thousands of small, disciplined steps. In this TEDx talk, Vikas shares how daily wins, consistency, and commitment transformed an ordinary 40-year-old into someone who stood on top of the world. A simple, powerful reminder that big dreams start small. Vikas is a senior banker and a Director with an International Bank, and the first full time banker in India to have scaled the mighty Mt Everest. He is also the First Indian to have climbed Mt Everest AND completed an official Ironman event. He has been a consistent achiever at work, and despite this found time for his passion – mountaineering and fitness. He also founded the Happy Feet project in association with GOONJ. Happy Feet collects shoes that urban kids have grown out of and with GOONJ distributes to underprivileged kids in India. A qualified electrical engineer and MBA, Vikas joined the world of banking around 20+ years back. Over the years, he has built and led large businesses in the Consumer Finance and SME lending business. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
