When asked about renunciation, Bhagavan Sri Krishna tells Arjuna that the three- fold karma of yajna (fire ritual offering), daana (giving) and tapas (religious disciplines) cannot be given up ! And we thought that we could escape doing this karma.. Astrologers play a very important role by sharing the world view of karma and in promoting the practice of these karmas, thus helping to preserve Sanatana Dharma. What are these karma in the light of the Gita, was elaborated upon by Swamini Brahmaprajananda. Karma and living one's svadharma paves the way for the readiness to enquire into the moksha pursuit and a commitment to it. One cannot get stuck with the limited identity of the karta, the doer who performs karma. The heart will stop seeking only when it discovers the fullness of the Atma that is oneself. She appreciated astrologers for their work and also requested that they make help people recognise that Vedanga is meant to understand the Veda particularly Vedanta and live a life of liberation and not get stuck at the level of karma and planetary influences.
