I've had a squealing caravan hitch and so took out the friction pads to see if that's the problem. There were a few gouges on the pads and a build up of rust on them. I was also wondering if the transmission fluid has damaged them. I buy some new ones just to be safe. The poor tow ball is also a bit rugged, so I sand that down. Then it's travelling time! I'm taking the scenic route from Auckland to Hawkes Bay via Bay of Plenty. The first stop is Matata Department of Conservation Campground which is between a lagoon and a wild beach. The perfect place to relax. I then head to Gisborne and get a warning light on the car! ………..
