Restoration of Vintage 1930 Red Devil DP-1 Glazier Diamond Point Stapler tool
Glazing points are used by glaziers to hold window panes in place. Typically now, if they are still used, the points are either configured as push-type or are triangles. The Red Devil PD1 is a USA made 1930's glaziers staple gun that fires, via a strong main spring, diamond shapped staples. Although Red Devil as a tool company is still in operation, the PD1 ceased production quite some years ago. Unrestored and restored examples of this stapler are now only found on auction websites. I will be constructing a bespoke display box for this restored PD1 in a future video, afterwhich it will also make it's way onto the vintage tool auction maret.
