Here is the video of the old 1st gen Oasis Typhoon that was here previously: • GONE FOREVER: *RARE* 1st Gen Oasis Typhoon... I never thought I’d have to come back to this wash, as I thought the old Oasis Typhoon that was here would run for a bit longer, as it got refurbished a little bit, with new wash arm covers and graphics. Not only that, but it got dryers a couple years prior after going without them for some time. Welp, after viewing a pic of this exact wash I saw on maps, I knew I had to come back. This wash is located right across the road from James Street Car Wash, which has that really nice early 2000’s Hanna Jim-Coleman tunnel with Genesis dryers. At first, I thought that both washes were owned by the same person, but I later found out that they are owned by separate people. This wash is your typical 3 bay self service and 1 bay touch free automatic car wash. As stated before, the automatic bay used to have a VERY rare 1st generation Oasis Typhoon. The 1st gen Typhoon had super thin back and front wash arms, while the arms in the middle were absolutely massive, and had the triple foam nozzles on them. It also had really old Oasis signage as well. Sadly, a few months or a year after I filmed the old Typhoon, it was ripped out, dismantled and thrown in the dump, as it was replaced with a WashWorld RAZOR Double Barrel, a system that is slowly starting to become more and more common. It’s basically a buffed up version of a LaserWash G5-S, with many new features. Besides the new system, the wash is still called “Typhoon Touchless Auto Wash”, and it’s in Oasis graphics, despise the Typhoon being in the dump for a year now. Chemicals are from Simoniz, including the Ceramic Sealant and Hot Wax & Shine. The wash shown in this video was the $16 “The Works” Wash which included: *Double Presoak *High Pressure Wash *Spot Free Rinse *Undercarriage *Side Blaster *Wheel Cleaner *Triple Foam *Hot Wax *Surface Protectant *Ceramic Sealant *High Velocity Dry (via off-board Premier dryers, with sides having Sonny’s elephant ear attachments) Wash Quality: 10/10 Comments: this wash did a very nice job! Even though it’s a year old now, it does a fantastic job and is very thorough. I will still miss the old Typhoon that was here before.
