Presenting the Official Aftermovie of Technikala 2017 'Technikala 2017’, the twelfth edition of NICMAR’s annual techno-cultural inter-college fest that spanned over three days from 3rd February 2017 to 5th February 2017 was an enormous success and garnered participation in great numbers from not only our own institute NICMAR, Pune but also from reputed colleges in Pune and other cities of the nation. ‘Technikala’ as the name suggests, is a fusion of ‘Techni’ that is technical and ‘Kala’ that is cultural, was inaugurated on 2nd February 2017.Carrying forward the legacy of every year, this year Technikala witnessed participation in 33 interesting event spread across distinct domains from students from diversified backgrounds such as engineering, management, law, arts and medicine to name a few. This year’s theme ‘Wanderlust: Explore..Dream..Discover...’ was a step towards creating a melting pot of cultures, cuisines, innovation, technology and traditions from all parts of the world. We aimed at creating a one world experience within the boundaries of NICMAR, Pune through elements of design and décor as well as the format of our events spread across multiple domains. The overall participation of students was 1600 approximately. The events that stole the limelight were from the cultural banner such as ‘Battle of Bands’, Fashion show, Group Dance, Nukkad Natak etc. This year’s Technikala was a resounding success due to the contribution and support of our sponsors; Title Sponsors : Shirke, Co-Sponsors: Vijay Nirman Company Limited and Powergrid Corporation, Associate Sponsors: Yasha Interiors, AP Caterers, Tanish Constructions, ARI Services and Apache, Realty Partner: Maple, Banking Partners: Bank of Maharashtra and Oriental Bank Of Commerce., Educational Loan Partner: Avanse, Financial Service Partner: Credila, Fashion Show and Beauty Partner: Studio 11, Online Shopping Partner: Krazybee, Online food Partner: Swiggy, Online Bike Rental Partner: Snapbikes, Gaming Partner: 10X Gaming, NGO: Animal Equality. Other than that we had various food stalls set up by our food partners Tea Trails, Giani Ice Cream, Irani Chai, Reddy Biryani, KFC and Lazetti. Technikala 2017 had a fabulous finale in the form of a Pro-Show by ace Bollywood singer and composer Nakash Aziz. Nakash Aziz has been the voice behind various chartbusters such as Jabra Fan, Dhating naach, Saree ke Fall sa and Blockbuster to name a few. He has assisted A.R. Rahman and Pritam on various music compositions. Nakash Aziz lit the evening by performing covers of hit compositions by A.R. Rahman other than his own tracks along with his extremely talented and entertaining band.The Pro-show witnessed a footfall of approximately 1500 people.
