A memorable night at The Hawthorns as Scott Hogan was the hat trick hero, gifting us all three points and a first away win against the Albion for seventeen years! Before the game, we all paid our respects to HM Queen Elizabeth II who passed away on Thursday. We all sang God Save The King which really set the mood for the evening as chants rang around the ground all night. We took the lead inside fifteen minutes but found ourselves level ten minutes later. Blues regained the lead just after half time through Hogan once again. Bacuna, the creator, found the goalscorer with a beautifully weighted pass which Hogan took first time, adding to his tally. And twenty minutes before the end, he scored his fifth of the season. Deeney found him this time, and Hogan was calm with his approach toward goal. Beating Button and sending us away fans into absolute bedlam! Thomas-Asante scored from the spot to pull a goal back. Disputable if it was in or not. Yet it didn’t matter as Blues held out for the remaining seven and six added minutes to win their second game on the trot! We all gave the players and staff a hero’s send off who clearly have all been putting in the hard yards recently as is evident with the wins that are now beginning to show on the pitch. Stand out players - Scott Hogan, of course - Bacuna was his usual tireless self - and Troy Deeney looked in good form too. Fingers crossed there’s more to come from him! 🤞 And with Coventry coming up on the weekend, there could be an opportunity for him to get his first of the season. Cov are in terrible form since the season started, and with us in a spell of terrific form, there’s no reason not to feel confident.
