Turn on subtitles/captions!! (they have some custom formatting) A mix of these two: • Returnal (The full version of Returnal) • Видео (The now-private latest version of Returnal before its completion, which still had Sturm's lyrics) finally, a seamless transition June 15th, 2025 Addendum: (some history leading up to this edit) This song was in production for around a year, and nearer to the end of that production time, the main composer of the song (Sandi) was found to be doing some very controversial (to say the least) things behind the scenes. Once people discovered what he was doing, he claimed that he would leave his online presence behind (which has been followed through very slowly and very questionably), but not before finishing the song and releasing Returnal. Due to this whole controversy, however, Sandi did not include the lyrics Sturm (Churgney Gurgney) had provided in the final version, stating the following in a Twitter post: "forgot to mention, i will not be uploading sturm's version of it. i doubt he wants his voice to be used in my song after all of this has happened and i rather respect him". Instead, Sandi used heavily-filtered audio from the song these lyrics were originally taken from (that being "Chokehold" by Sleep Token); many have had issue with this choice on account of the poor mixing, and especially on account of the singing being taken from an existing song, losing a lot of the originality Sturm's rendition provided (even if the lyrics themselves were still taken from that song, though with many adjustments to better-fit the story of Green Mountain). This edit intends to be a "best of both worlds" version of this song, as the lyrical section of the earlier version of Returnal from before the controversy still fits into the final song very well, and is much more preferable for many people (including the person who spliced this version together, unsurprisingly).
