B Satheesha, PhD scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, has presented his research, "Rural Employment Diversification in India," with evidence from a village resurvey in southern Karnataka, during the sixth session of the FAS Young Scholars' Online Seminar Series 2022-23. Satheesha’s study examined the factors that influence rural employment diversification in India. He analysed the data obtained from the resurvey of Alabujanahalli, a village in southern Karnataka that was first surveyed by the Foundation in 2009. The session was moderated by Barbara Harriss-White, Emeritus Professor of Development Studies, University of Oxford. The virtual seminar was hosted by the Foundation for Agrarian Studies on Thursday, September 29, 2022, with the support of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung South Asia.
