Train Cab Ride NL / Amsterdam + Amersfoort Update / Amsterdam - Deventer - Utrecht / ICM / Feb 2025

Hi everyone! Welcome on board a brand new long ride. It's been a while since I posted a nice long drive for you all: so here it is again! Today I take for a ride from Amsterdam to Deventer and back to Utrecht. In this video you can see the new bridge in Amsterdam, construction going on at the Dijksgracht (fly-over) and of course on our way back to Utrecht the new situation in Amersfoort. Enjoy! 0:00 Amsterdam Centraal In the upcoming years Amsterdam Centraal will be under construction. Now one of the five bridges on the east side is replaced with a new one. In the years to follow the other bridges will be replaced as well. A huge project causing many many changed train schedules for passengers until 2030. 3:37 Dijkgracht Update You can see a huge difference with the last time we drove here on my Youtube channel. You can see a fly-over is now build and soon trains will run over it so the construction works can continue on the side we drive on today. A set of three tracks will run over the fly-over. 5:26 Amsterdam Muiderpoort The tracks towards Utrecht are splitting up on the right. 6:37 Watergraafsmeer 7:03 Amsterdam Science Park A slightly delayed Sprinter is running ahead of us. We must take it easy before we can speed up. 8:51 Diemen 9:59 Gaasperdammerweg Connection 10:49 Muiderspoorbrug 12:23 Weesp As soon as we're past Weesp we can speed up to the maximum speed. Will we make it on time in Hilversum? After Weesp you will see the tracks towards Almere bending away on the left. 13:55 Keverdijk Tracks from Almere joining in. 15:24 Dutch Nature 16:59 Naarden-Bussum 17:38 Bussum Zuid 17:59 Crailoo 19:08 Hilversum Mediapark 19:51 Hilversum Arrival at Hilversum. At the end of rail yard the tracks towards Utrecht are splitting up on the right. 26:04 Province Border 27:58 Baarn 28:37 Baarn Connection 32:57 Amersfoort Centraal On our way to Deventer there's not much to see. Also I had to add a privacy cut. But don't worry, you'll see the new situation in Amersfoort on our to Utrecht. :D After departure you can see the track towards PON splitting up on the right. 40:13 Hoevelaken 40:57 Province Border 43:26 Delayed Train Ahead The train from 15 minutes earlier is 13 minutes delayed and therefor almost in our time path. I update the passengers about the fact we could be delayed as well. 44:42 Barneveld Connection Tracks towards Ede-Wageningen splitting up! 47:51 Stroe 58:09 Apeldoorn Arrival in Apeldoorn. The delayed train ahead makes space for our train just in time. That's why we encounter to yellow signals after each other. Normally the first one would've been green. After departure from Apeldoorn you can see the steamer towards Dieren splitting up on the right. 1:04:09 Apeldoorn Osseveld 1:07:29 Twello 1:09:04 Province Border 1:09:18 Deventer (IJsselspoorbrug) Arrival at the final stop for this train. But don't worry, we'll change trains for the way back to Amersfoort and further to Utrecht! Don't forget to get some extra popcorn! 1:12:08 Deventer Let's start the new ride towards Utrecht. On the right the tracks towards Zwolle splitting up! 1:14:20 IJsselspoorbrug 1:15:08 Province Border 1:16:24 Twello 1:19:59 Apeldoorn Osseveld 1:21:03 Apeldoorn Short stop before we continue. 1:26:07 ATB Track Failure As always we must drive on sight until the next main light signal that allows a higher speed. 1:33:59 Stroe 1:37:26 Barneveld Connection 1:41:05 Province Border 1:41:53 Hoevelaken 1:44:50 Amersfoort Centraal Update Enjoy the new situation in Amersfoort. Huge construction works were done in few weeks. All switches on the Utrecht side of the station were taken out and replaced by new one. The maximum speed on the yard has gone up from 40 to 80km/h on departure. 1:50:51 ATB Track Failure Another one.
