In this video, I work out some very challenging practice test questions for the Arithmetic Reasoning (AR) and Math Knowledge (MK) subtests of the ASVAB and PiCAT. In order to do well on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) or Pre-screening internet-delivered Computer Adaptive Test (PiCAT), you must be comfortable solving problems that are similar to the ones in this video. In order to get the most from this video, you should also pause the video after I read each practice question, attempt to work out the question on your own, and then resume playing the video to check your solution. It assesses your knowledge in various areas, including math, verbal, science, and technical skills. Here's a breakdown of how to effectively study for the ASVAB: 1. Understand the ASVAB Format and Content: Subtests: Familiarize yourself with the different subtests: General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics Knowledge, Electronics Information, Auto and Shop Information, Mechanical Comprehension, and Assembling Objects. 2. Identify Your Strengths and Weaknesses: Practice Tests: Take practice ASVAB tests to get a baseline understanding of your current knowledge and identify areas where you need to improve. 3. Create a Study Plan: Focus on Weak Areas: Dedicate more study time to the subjects where you scored lower on the practice tests. Time Management: Allocate specific time slots for studying each day or week, and stick to your schedule as much as possible. 4. Utilize Study Resources: Study Guides and Books: Consider using reputable ASVAB study guides and books from publishers like Kaplan, Barron's, or Peterson's. Flashcards: Create or use flashcards to memorize vocabulary, formulas, and key concepts. 5. Practice Regularly: Practice Questions: Solve as many practice questions as possible to reinforce your understanding of the material and get comfortable with the test format. Full-Length Practice Tests: Take full-length practice tests under timed conditions to simulate the actual test environment and improve your time management skills. 6. Test-Taking Strategies: Time Management: Learn to pace yourself during the test and avoid spending too much time on any single question. Eliminate Answers: If you're unsure of the answer, try to eliminate as many incorrect choices as possible before making an educated guess. Don't Leave Blanks: Answer every question, even if you have to guess, as there is no penalty for guessing on the ASVAB. 7. Stay Motivated: Set Your Goals: Keep your goals in mind and remind yourself why you're taking the ASVAB. Stay Positive: Maintain a positive attitude and believe in your ability to succeed. Take Breaks: Don't overwork yourself. Take regular breaks to avoid burnout and stay focused. 8. Get Enough Rest: Sleep Well: Ensure you get enough sleep the night before the test to be alert and focused. #grammarhero #ASVAB #AceTheASVAB #ASVABVersion #PiCAT #algebra #geometry #generalscience #afqt #asvabexam #asvabtest #asvabmath #asvabmathknowledge #asvabmathprep #asvabtutoring #asvabmathhelp #arithmeticreasoning
