PERPETUAL CALENDAR: A platinum reinterpretation of an emblematic model, featuring a green-lacquered dial with black-gradient rim. Launched in 2011, the Reference 5270 chronograph with perpetual calendar is heir to several generations of a Patek Philippe iconic double complication introduced in 1941 with Reference 1518. The Manu- facture has revisited this timepiece in a model that is both classic and original in style. The gleaming radiance of platinum – the most precious of metals, yet also the most challenging to work with – accentuates the timeless design of the case with its concave bezel, elegant two-tier lugs and pushers that are satin-finished on the side and polished on the top. The lacquered green dial with its black-gradient rim evokes the bodywork of some of the finest vintage racing cars. The applied faceted hour markers and faceted dauphine hands in white gold stand out against the background in a highly legible manner. The perpetual calendar displays are harmoniously arranged with a date indicated by hand and a moon phases display at 6 o’clock, as well as a double day/month aperture at 12 o’clock, complemented by two small round apertures for the day/night indication and the leap-year cycle. The central chronograph hand in Pfinodal® is distinguished by its sand- blasted rhodium-plated gray finish, while a shiny black alligator strap with olive stitching adds a classy touch to this Grand Complication. The CH 29-535 PS Q caliber – the first perpetual calendar chronograph movement entirely developed and produced in-house by Patek Philippe (2011) – is distinguished by its traditional architecture (manually wound, column wheel, toothed-wheel horizontal clutch) combined with six patented chronograph innovations, as well as by its exceptionally slim calendar mechanism (only 1.65 mm for 182 components). The new Reference 5270P-014 replaces Reference 5270P-001 and joins the collection’s two existing versions in yellow and rose gold. Patek Philippe Ref. 5172G CHRONOGRAPH: A new version of the manually wound Manufacture chronograph in white gold, with rose-gilt opaline dial. The CH 29-535 PS caliber, the first classically built chronograph movement entirely developed and produced in-house by Patek Philippe (2009), has been successively offered in various ladies’ and men’s mod- els. In 2019, the Manufacture presented the 5172G model in a white gold case with three-tier lugs, round guilloched pushers and sapphire crystal “box” glass, paired with a blue dial and strap. Patek Philippe reinforces the vintage spirit of this model, which is by connoisseurs of fine mechanical watches, by introducing it in a new version with rose-gilt opaline dial. The readability of the dial by day and night is ensured by applied Arabic numerals and charcoal gray syringe-shaped hour/minute hands with white luminescent coating, complemented by a small seconds hand at 9 o’clock. The chronograph features a central charcoal gray seconds hand and an instantaneous 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. The tachymeter scale printed in black around the rim allows speeds to be measured in conjunction with the chronograph. The CH 29-535 PS chronograph caliber is distinguished by its tradi- tional architecture (manually wound, column wheel, toothed-wheel horizontal clutch enhanced by six patented innovations, including optimized tooth profiles, improved adjustment of gear penetration and self-regulating reset hammers). This movement also features several technical features that contribute to the same concern for functionality and performance. Its aesthetics and meticulous finishing are visible through a transparent sapphire crystal case back. The new white gold Reference 5172G-010 is fitted with a shiny chocolate brown alligator leather strap secured by a white gold fold-over clasp. It joins the existing white gold Reference 5172G-001 with blue dial and matching strap.
