With my wife Dace we traveled to the other side of the map again and we are in Georgia, a country in the Caucasus region. Join us, we are going to walk its streets to see what happens and share it with you. We are in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The streets are awash with color, more than usual. The weather is more than pleasant, the Georgian flavor floods us around us. Georgia is located at the crossroads between Eastern Europe and Western Asia, in the Caucasus region. It is bordered by Russia to the north, Azerbaijan to the southeast, Armenia to the south, and Turkey to the southwest. In addition, it has coasts on the Black Sea. Georgia has an ancient and rich history dating back thousands of years. It has been influenced by various cultures, including ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, the Persian Empire, and the Russian Empire. This has left a mark on their culture, architecture, art and traditions. In these first impressions we are lucky to witness the traditional Georgian environment full of colors, compared to the cold geographies of the north, this corner of the planet overflows with energy. Georgia's population is around 3.7 million and the territory covers approximately 69,700 square kilometers and the capital Tbilisi is the largest city in the country. The official language of Georgia is Georgian and the predominant religion is Orthodox Christianity, and the Georgian Orthodox Church plays a significant role in the cultural and social life of the country. Georgia has a high literacy rate, with approximately 99% of its population being able to read and write, while Georgia's Gross Domestic Product per capita is €6,237, with steady growth since the war in Ukraine began. In the successive videos of this series we will talk about the different aspects of this country of the Caucasus. Georgia's main economic sectors include agriculture, with crops such as grapes, nuts, and cereals, manufacturing, tourism, and services. Tourism is an important sector for Georgia. Among the most prominent tourist attractions are the Old Town of Tbilisi, the cities of Batumi and Kutaisi, the wine regions and the beautiful mountainous landscapes of the Caucasus. Georgian gastronomy is famous all over the world. It is characterized by delicious and varied dishes such as khachapuri (cheese bread), khinkali (dumplings) and a wide variety of dishes, both meat and vegetarian. Also, Georgia is known for its wine, as it has a long winemaking tradition. It is said that these territories of the Caucasus have made the first wines in the world. The language is something really difficult and such is the case that we have only learned two words. Thanks is said madloba and hello, gamaryuba. Georgians are known for their warm hospitality and generosity towards visitors. It is considered a duty to welcome guests in the best possible way, and the Georgian table tradition is an example of this. Georgians have a great sense of hospitality and we are enjoying that. Traveling is hyper-living and even more so when traveling through intense places, we hope to visit this country in the coming days to see what it has in store for us. #delotroladodelmapa #ViajarEsHipervivir 🌎 Subtitles in Portuguese, Italian, German, French, Russian, Polish and English. 🔎 I am Gustavo Llusá, Argentine, after traveling for several years in more than 65 countries, I settled in Latvia where I married Dace and learned to know another way of life, on the other side of the map. 👇👇👇 COMMENT AND THINK
