Building Your Own Asset Library in Blender: Business Signs

Follow along this new web series where I use Fair-Use images to create a low-poly asset library. This is a great way to practice your modeling and UV skills, with the added benefit of building up original assets that you can use in your future scenes. Most of us Blender user's don't have a bunch of cash to drop on large asset packs, so we settle for the free assets that we can find online; but that ends up showing in our work. If most of us are using the same free assets, then our scenes will suffer. My solution is an easy way to really build out the complex details of your background while keeping the poly-count relatively low. Once you get the hang of this workflow, you can start taking photos of everyday objects and use your skills to add them into your asset library. This will give a uniqueness to your scenes that will help them stand out.
