Going Down a Sandy Road in the Ocala National Forest to Find a New Truck Camping Spot

We went truck camping in a new part, for us, of the Ocala National Forest. After passing a popular campground we headed down a random crossroad and then turned onto one of its side roads. You need strong paint for this road. A short ways down the road we notice a closed spur road that would make a nice camping spot. Of coarse we kept on. The road became sandy and hilly. Eventually we turned around and headed back to the spur road we saw earlier. The sugar sand at the bottom of the hill was a little tricky but we was able to make it through. After backing the truck in we set up camp and went for a walk. What a beautiful place. Karla was able to play in the trees while our dog Lilly kept Bob busy. Back at the truck we made a gourmet supper. The next morning we ate breakfast and went for another walk before packing up. The drive out was even an adventure.
