This is a tutorial for the LK 150 knitting machine, also suitable for any basic knitting machine without a ribber and is meant for intermediate knitters. Some experience with transfer tools and decreasing is required. It is a complete step-by-step lesson on knitting a neckband for a V-neck pullover sweater that has a mitered band with a center vertical stitch that extends from the point of the V up to the neck. This is a support video for my pattern, Babies’ Raglan Pullover, which will be published in the March-April 2024 issue of Country Knitting of Maine News and Views. The pattern is written for sizes 6, 12, 18 and 24 months, and is suitable for LK 150 knitting machines, and other basic midgauge machines such as KX 350 and Bond/ISM. Contact https://countryknittingofmaine.com/ for information on how to purchase. The video covers picking up the band from the neck edge, marking the center stitch, converting stockinet stitch to ribbing, and making the decreases at the V. There is no seam at the V; all shaping here is made by decreases, creating a neat miter without bulk.
