Took the jet boat up the creek chasing some crappie after a recent rain — but Mother Nature had other plans. The water had come up quite a bit, current was rolling, and the creek was muddy from runoff. We pushed upstream, even slipped into a shallow little ditch scouting new spots… and nearly got ourselves stuck in the process. No fish landed this trip, but still a solid day exploring new water, running the jet boat skinny, and figuring out where the fish might be once conditions settle down.
