How Flow Arts Can Help Us Reach Perfection

Is Flow Arts the key to learning how to achieve perfection? I think that it has a lot of lessons to teach us on the topic. I was recently inspired by a video Mary Spender released exploring the topic of how we gain expertise and perfect our craft and it sent me on a trip down memory lane to recall how I got interested in the science of expertise and the places I went to in order to search for inspiration. Spoilers: I think Flow Arts are uniquely suited to teaching the techniques around deliberate practice as outlined in the research on expertise by K Anders Ericsson as well as helping us avoid some of the negative outcomes associated with perfectionism.
