Mellowes Center: Thinking Next Generation with CTSI's 500 Stars Program

This summer, Mellowes Center was again proud to host a “Student Experience Day” in partnership with CTSI’s 500 Stars program. This video documents the event in which 500 Stars participants (comprised of local High School and College students) were invited to the Center to take part in a variety of activities including: 1) Hands-on Research Applications 2) Tour of Laboratory Facilities 3) ‘Careers in Science’ Panel As a research Center studying epigenetics, rare congenital diseases, rare cancers, and how genetic information can benefit all people, we are always looking for opportunities to encourage and inspire the next generation of scientists and discoverers. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with CTSI’s 500 Stars Program in providing these young scientists an opportunity to explore their interest in the genetic sciences.
