This video was filmed November 15, 2024 around 445pm. Me just filming a trolley passing by in downtown La Mesa and right next to the La Mesa Blvd trolley station to the left. The traffic lights and railroad crossing signals work together or in other words, they are preemptive meaning if the crossing signals turn on, the traffic lights immediately all turn green for this direction of traffic no matter what cycle they are on and you saw that when the traffic signals turned red and then turned green again. Then while the gates are down, the traffic lights stays red until the gates go back up. MTS orange line trolleys use this crossing on a daily basis and on rare occasions just once every 2 to 4 weeks in the middle of the night, SDIV freight trains pass by here too and I do have a video of that below.
