Derek Manning recalls the earliest poltergeist activity, experienced in February 1966 by himself, his wife Valerie and their young children: Rosalind, Andrew and Matthew, who at the time were all living in a modern house near Cambridge, England. Five years later, after the family moved to a much older property, the poltergeist activity suddenly began again when Matthew was home from boarding school. The strange paranormal activity even occurred around Matthew while he was at school, and it was witnessed by other students and staff…the activity only subsided when Matthew accidentally began a series of automatic writing - which allowed discarnate minds to communicate through him on paper…and in many languages. The renowned researcher Peter Bander helped Matthew by having these written messages translated. Robert Webbe, who died in 1733, was one such discarnate mind who was communicating with Matthew and who, eventually, became his most well-known and prolific spirit communicator. Matthew’s psychic abilities also extended to the manipulation of metal objects, and his feats of bending metal keys and forks have been scientifically examined. When recorded, Matthew’s brainwaves showed unusual activity in the area of the brain known as the nucleus accumbens. Matthew concludes, in this video, that he is more of a Spiritist than a Spiritualist and explains that he has no desire to make money from his psychic ability as a metal bender or as a medium.
