Squid are always hungry for more.

Squid have enormous appetites and need to eat almost continuously. They will try anything that moves, provided it is of a size they think they can handle. Often, they are seen observing fish or rays as they forage, hoping to catch small creatures that might be disturbed. Surprisingly, their strike rates are not perfect, and they often miss their intended targets. Large schools of shimmering fish can confuse them. They wait patiently for a single fish to make a mistake, as catching live fish requires a lot of energy and time. Interestingly, they are also drawn to fishermen's lures, even when surrounded by live bait fish, which ultimately proves costly for them. This compulsion to catch a lure is illustrated at the end of this video, featuring some slow-motion sequences of their attempts.
