A Prayer to the Norns

Click the bell icon so you'll know when we add a new video! The video tells of the finding and adaptation of a prayer to the Norns, the Norse fates, for a friend who is a tattoo artist. I highlight the lack of interaction between scholars and artists in exploring Nordic history of religions, which he believes is a missed opportunity for inspiration. I found a description of norns acting in an Eddic poem. With the help of a knowledgeable friend, I transformed the description into a prayer, addressing the Norns to weave the golden threads and shape the hero's destiny. The resulting prayer is a plea for the Norns' intervention and guidance.
