Time for the yearly longhaul adventure, Instead of heading over the Pond I had the chance on heading eastwards! The first flight would take me from Brussels to Madrid on Iberia! Also a new carrier for me! Total score: 78% Iberia was an airline I wanted to try out for a while and was happy to have the chance to finally do so! The A320 used on this morning flights was a bit on the cramped side and was lucky to have 3 seats to myself! That said the crew was very friendly and the BOB was quite decent! After a smooth flight from Brussels I'll be experciencing Iberia's longhaul product for the first time. And it's also my first trip to Asia! A few weeks before flying Iberia started a 3x weekly flight from Madrid to Tokyo! Total score: 73% I was happy to finaly try out Iberia long haul for the first time! There where quite a few things I liked about Iberia like the very user friendly IFE and the quality of the food! However their newer A330-200s have the new slimline seats that where very hard! Our crew was friendly but reserved and hardly seen between the 3 rather rushed meal services! In overall I won't deny that there are much better airlines to fly between Europe and Asia but I still had a more or less enjoyable flight! If the price/schedule was right in the future I would definate consider them again but on the A330-300 or A340-600!
