ALiCE&u Original performance: Ayunda Risu Arrangement by: Able98Able98 Okay, I might actually really dig doing orchestral arrangement that now I can see myself doing more of these in the foreseeable future. This time, I'm arranging ALiCE&u from my ID oshi, Risu, and boy do I really like how this turned out compared to my previous arrangement In the inbetween of me arranging this and my previous arrangement, I saw a comment saying that my arrangement of Senandung Jiwa reminded them of listening to one of Violet Evergarden's OST. Now, to be clear, I am a mere bug to the goat that is Evan Call with his plethora of discography working for various projects. But that comment did make me listen to and breakdown a lot of mr. Call's work including the aforementioned Violet Evergarden's OST as well as Frieren's and I did take a lot of inspiration from them. For one, I think I've improved a bit in writing more effectively for the woodwinds, percussions, and the harp as well as more effectively writing harmonies and spreading them out to the ensemble at large to get a better voicing. I think next time I'll try to write with a more robust collection of percussions including getting all the standard tuned percussions One part that I need to improve on is to stop over-relying on the contrabass and tuba to hold down the root of the harmony and try to find a workaround. I must admit I am biased for the bass instruments because I personally like listening to bassy musics that make my room vibrate. Another thing is probably try to pay attention to writing for the timpani and keep in mind which timps is used so I can write a more realistic timpani section Anyway, I hope you enjoy this arrangement, this was submitted to close the #HoloArtgustus campaign the community is having as well as to show my appreciation to my Oshi. I'll probably come out with another on of these sooner or later. Cheers! PS: As of the day of the release of this video, things are really down under the dumps where I am, so I hope this can bring in some much needed positivity, especially for the ID holofans sphere #hololive #irisutration #hololiveindonesia
