C-47 Dakota. Kas, Turkey 🇹🇷

This is an artificially scuttled C-47 Dakota transport aircraft (wingspan approx. 29 m, length approx. 20 m), sunk in 2009 to create an artificial reef. It rests on a sandy bottom at a depth of 14–22 m, making it suitable for divers of all levels. The site is located in the Limanağzı / Fener (İnce Burun) area: boats moor on the leeward side of the cape, and the route follows a bright sandy bottom directly to the fuselage. Visibility is usually excellent, currents are weak, and the aircraft is easy to explore from the outside and partially from the inside.
